My experience with Bestine is that it is useful in removing old tape but not the stain it leaves behind

I cannot and will not accept responsibility for any issues that come from taking my advice but I do recall that in the old days, this question of removing tape was almost always answered with Bestine. That questiuon and what kind oif tape was safe to iuse on posters came up all the time, in my memory. I have never used the product but I can't forget it.

All the best,

An ozone generator should solve your problem. The cheapest are $30 or something on Amazon.

I received (ebay transaction that had 9 watchers) a quality title 1940s half sheet (valued at about 225.00) that reeks of smoke.  From the moment I brought the package into my house, the smoke was obvious, and when I opened the envelope, the smoke smell was horrendous.  The seller is agreeable to accept the return.

Before I return it, is there any way to remove the smell.  I tried leaving it in front of an air conditioning vent, but it only made the room smell.  It still smells.

Comments?

Another question:   Is there a way to remove the yellow/gold stain left by old fashion scotch tape on inserts/half sheets?  (The tape is long gone.)

Thank you
Michael
