Hello all,

I have been working over the past 2+ years on a book covering the history
of the movie poster hobby. The book is in the final stages of completion -
its 400 pages long, covering the entire history of the hobby from the 1960s
through the 2010s. It covers extensive detail of the earliest collectors
and sellers, early poster shops, poster exchanges, conventions, MCW,
collectors, poster finds, auctions, etc. The book tells the story of how
vintage movie posters first began being collected, and follows the hobby as
it grew over its first 50 years. I interviewed over two dozen long-time
collectors in the making of this book, and pieced together the story to the
best of my ability.

There are tons of great pictures dating back to the early-60s, however *I
am hoping some on here may have some great photos that should be included
in the book*.

*Does anyone here have any photos they could contribute to the book, which
feature:*
- Early poster shops (Memory Shop NYC, Collectors Bookstore, Hollywood
Poster Exchange, Cinemabillia, Edmunds, Eddie Brandts, Movie Star News, etc
etc)
- Inside Poster Exchanges (long shot... I have photos of Duncans and Canton)
- Early collector shots (I have lots, especially from the Texas/OK area
collectors, but would love to consider more)
- Conventions of the 80s and 90s
- Auctions / Previews / Collector meets of the 90s
- Poster find shots

Also, the book details the stories behind dozens of incredible movie poster
finds, but *if there are any lesser-known finds that you feel should be
detailed in the book, please feel free to reach out.*

The book is stacked with photos and stories, but I would be doing a
disservice if I didn't reach out to MOPO, as there are so many long-time
collectors on here that I'm sure must have some great pictures / stories.
The book is already loaded, but I will do my best to fit great material in.

Thank you in advance,
Garth
