DHL Germany announced this morning that they will no transport any goods to the US anymore for the foreseeable future. It is still possible to ship with DHL Express, UPS, or Fedex.
Background is that Donald the Wonderful has cancelled the $800 duty-free import limit, so all goods are now subject to US import tax and custom duties, regardless of value.
The fees will be based on the value of the merchandise, plus shipping costs, plus a brokerage fee.
Galerie filmposter.net has not been using DHL Parcel Post for many years, as their runtimes were totally unpredictable and their tracking is unreliable (to put it mildly). I get very good rates with both UPS and DHL Express, so my basic shipping fee remains at €25 for a folded poster. This does not cover my costs, but I do not intend to change that any time soon. However, be aware that there will import duties to pay from now on.
