Starting in 2021 a long time collector who (like so many of us) chose to stay home that year a lot due to Covid, and he made many faux lobby sets like this to help pass the time! He was inspired by the "Fantasy #9" lobby cards created several decades ago, each of which is from a classic horror/sci-fi movie, showing a great scene that wasn't in the original set!He created those sets using top images from each film! He did not make them through a computer program, but instead pasted together actual prints to create mock-ups. On most of these he made 8 card sets, but on some of them he created sets with odd quantities (as low as 4, and as high as 26 cards!). He then printed just THREE of each set, and he promised not to reprint them (and he has not). He numbered the first card in each set, and what we offered was the "1 of 3" of each set, which meant there were only two other sets of each, and there will never be more of those.SINCE 2021, OUR CONSIGNOR HAS MADE MORE SETS FOUR TIMES, AND IN EACH CASE WE AUCTIONED THE "1/3" OF EACH SET. BUT ONCE BEFORE, AND AGAIN NOW, OUR CONSIGNOR HAS SENT US MORE OF THE 2021 SETS, BUT THESE 55 ARE THE "2/3" (and we are auctioning them in 55 separate auctions). So in every case, we previously auctioned the 1/3 of each of these sets, and now we are auctioning the 2/3, so since our consignor told us that he is keeping the 3/3 of each set, then that means this is everyone's last chance to purchase one of these sets (unless he later decides to auction the set he kept for himself). So the winner of this auction has just one of three of these numbered sets that were created! REMEMBER THAT OUR CONSIGNOR PROMISES TO NEVER REPRINT THESE! So once again this is a great chance to get any of these really cool faux lobby sets!THE OTHER "SPECIAL" GROUP OF LOBBY CARDS ARE REALLY "SPECIAL"! They come from the estate of a man who collected lobby cards for many decades, and he frequently attended special events and collectible shows where stars were in attendance, and sometimes got invited to film sets, and when he would know the stars he would meet, he would bring cards from his collection with those stars and get them to sign them (and some are personalized to him). He of course has no "certificates of authenticity" but we are certain the autographs on all 97 cards are genuine! However, as is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. If you like autographed items with great provenance, you won't want to miss bidding on these!2) Many of these SIX HUNDRED SIXTY FIVE lobby card auctions are at ridiculously low prices with 7 days left! Think I am exaggerating? As of right now, almost all of these are WAY under where any dealer would ask for the same card, IF they had it for sale, and many of these are likely not for sale ANYWHERE!
