with quality items they have considered consigning would not want to have
them included in our December Major Auction (especially when compared to
lackluster results at other major auctions, even assuming none of their
sales "fell through", and those other auctions also charge FAR more than we
do, at EVERY price level

unlike every other major auction we DON'T have a big stack of supposedly
sold items here to put back into auction, so we are "starting from
scratch", just like always (the 34 items pictured here, which include a
number of wonderful and rare ones, are among the 378 December Major
consignments we have already received)!I KNOW December sounds a very long
way off, but it starts November 30th, which means the final deadline to
consign is October 31st, 24 days from now (as of this writing)!There are
two great advantages to consigning now rather than later. One is that you
guarantee yours gets in (in the case of duplicated items) and they other is
we may use your items in our previews, which can help the final selling
price.We have made one very important change to consigning last year and
this year. We have had the rule about $50+ (in nice condition) or $100+ (in
lesser condition) for over six months now, and it is working out great,
getting many low value items out of our auctions.THE CHANGE WE STARTED LAST
YEAR IS THAT LINENBACKED ITEMS MUST BE SOLIDLY $100+ (in nice condition, or
SOLIDLY $200, if they were in lesser condition or if they were damaged
after backing).Our last several major auctions have had 100 or 200 much
lesser posters that were solely included because they were linenbacked, and
we don't want this anymore AT ALL. If anyone sends us "lesser linenbacked
posters" we do not want, they WILL be returned.And know that what we DO
want (when it comes to unbacked items) is REALLY rare and desirable items,
like the ones our August Major Auction was full of (if they are unbacked
and NOT really rare or desirable, they will do better in our regular
auctions)!*
