<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html>Did you know that vintage
comic books are the absolute hottest collectible there is right now, with
LOTS of multi-million dollar single comic books and a recent NINE MILLION
DOLLAR sale? It's true! The high end of the comic book hobby is dominated
by a company, CGC, that professional "slabs" and grades ALL the highest
selling comics, and many are being sold to Wall Street investor types, the
same kind of people who buy bitcoin and other "new age" investments.OUR
current auctions of 203 comic books and related items on the other hand
ONLY contains comic books that have NOT been slabbed or graded (so they are
not of interest to the "investors" unless they are later slabbed!). And
these include a collection of 140 original owner 12 cent Marvel comics, 18
good EC comics, 20 early Walt Disney Donald Duck Four Color comics, a Pep
Comics #34 that has sold for a gazillion dollars , all twelve Buster Crabbe
comics (some with art by Frank Frazetta and other EC artists), great bound
volumes, plus six Archie Comics original art pages by Dan Parent, and
more!Do you remember when comic book collecting was a "hobby", filled with
people who LOVED reading and discussing them? Before all the "investors",
"rich collectors" and "slabbers" showed up? If so, you will LOVE
eMoviePoster.com's current auctions of 203 comic books and related items
that close in just six days (Sunday January 18th)! Most of these were
assembled decades ago by a few collectors and stored them ever since.MOST
OF THESE ARE CURRENTLY AT INSANELY LOW PRICES! THIS MAY BE BECAUSE SOME
BIDDERS MAY BE "WAITING" FOR THE VERY END TO BID or maybe they think of us
solely as a "movie poster" auction (but whatever the reason, this may be a
time for absolute steals on these at all price levels, and how often does
that happen!).PLEASE READ THIS ABOUT OUR GRADING! we have had several of
these "comic book" auctions before, and one thing that has confused some
bidders is that our grading system is NOT the often inflated comic book
grading system with numbers ranging to "10.0", but rather our usual "very
good", "good", "fair" etc. And we ALWAYS note when a comic book has any
sort of restoration, adding "with old restoration" right after the
grade. But in the comic book world, "good" or "fair" means "trashed", and
some of our newer bidders think OUR "good" or "fair" means the same thing,
and nothing could be further from the truth! One of our past buyers had
several of his purchases slabbed and graded, and he was kind enough to
share three of the results with us!*He bought a Vault of Horror #39 in our
"very good condition", and CGC graded it as an unrestored 4.5!*He bought a
Crime Suspenstories #17 in our "good condition, with old restoration"
(because of a small piece of tape on the inside of the spine), and CGC
removed the tape and graded it as an unrestored 3.0!*He bought Daredevil
#188 in our "very good to fine" condition, and CGC graded it as an
unrestored 9.8!SO PLEASE DON'T MISUNDERSTAND OUR GRADING, and please DO
look at our many images of each comic, which will give you a great idea of
each comics exact condition (and know that, unlike just about every other
auction, we never "overgrade")!NONE of the comics are slabbed or graded,
just like the ones we auctioned in our previous comic book auctions! And we
ALWAYS clearly identify which of the comics have ANY restoration (the
condition grade always starts with either "The comic has had no
restoration." OR "The comic has had no restoration.")!Best of all, as with
every eMoviePoster.com auction, EVERY comic starts at $1, with NO reserve,
and NO buyers premium (especially the truly obscene $49 minimum ones). If
you bid $1, and no one else bids, you win it for $1, and pay the actual
cost of getting it to you! Please look at all of these 203 comic books and
related items well BEFORE Sunday (when they start to close at 3 PM at
https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/search/comic/tag/extra%253Afirst/15.html
<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/search/comic/tag/extra%253Afirst/15.html>
), because there are a lot of great rarities you surely will never see
again, and it takes quite a while to look these over, compared to just
looking at posters!*
