*I want to let you know about our truly incredible offering of 643 posters,
lobby cards and more from English horror or science fiction films ending
Sunday at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html
<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html> (starting at 3 PM CT
Sunday, NOT 7 pm like our Tuesday and Thursday auctions) in the final part
of our 27th Annual Halloween Auction! What exactly is being auctioned? These
primarily come to us from three sources:First and foremost, there is a
"once-in-a-lifetime" collection of all sizes of posters, lobby cards and
stills from English horror films of the 1950s and 1960s, including almost
all the best Hammer horror titles! Of special notice are the "country of
origin" British Quads and double crowns. Over the years we have auctioned
lots of U.S. posters from these titles, but hardly ever ANY of the Quads or
double crowns. Yet, somehow, this collector managed to locate tons of them
(perhaps he bought them when the movies came out or soon after?). He also
acquired a lot of English pressbooks, Front of House stills, and black and
white stills. The collector is no longer with us, so we can't find out
more, but his amazing collection IS very much with us, and it will ALL have
new owners come Sunday! This collection includes many items we have never
auctioned before in all our years of auctioning over two million items, and
we may well never auction them again, so PLEASE don't ask us after the
auctions end if we know where you can get something you missed out on,
because we assure you we can't!The second source is a man whose grandfather
save a Things to Come one-sheet, Title Card and five scene cards from a
theater 90 years ago, and he has consigned them to us! Things to Come is
the classic 1936 William Cameron Menzies English futuristic science fiction
dystopian thriller, one of the very first and best true science fiction
movies, with wonderful special effects! We have only previously auctioned
four examples of the 1936 first release Things to Come one-sheet (only one
in the last 15 years), and the last two sold for $27,000 (in "very good to
fine" unbacked condition) and $20,000 (and that one was linenbacked and was
in "good to very good" condition prior to linenbacking). We have only
previously auctioned three examples of the 1936 first release title card
(we auctioned one of those examples twice). The last one we auctioned sold
for $1,555 in "good" paperbacked condition, and the one before that sold
for $6,805 in "good to very good" condition. SINCE THE ONE-SHEET IS
CURRENTLY AT $9,250 AND THE TITLE CARD IS AT $410, THERE IS CLEARLY A VERY
REAL CHANCE OF GETTING A GREAT DEAL ON EITHER OR BOTH!The third source is a
nice collection of 23 items from 2001: A Space Odyssey, the classic 1968
Stanley Kubrick English/U.S. Cinerama science fiction outer space computer
thriller which is one of the most memorable science fiction movies of all
time, and this collection includes some really scare items! And then of
course we supplemented the above sources with what our regular consignors
had sent us from English horror or science fiction films and that is how
this was assembled, and it is Part III of our Halloween Auction (Part I
closed the 6th, led by the King Kong one-sheet selling for $107,000 and
Part II closed the 8th, led by the 1947 re-release Frankenstein one-sheet
selling for $20,600!Please check them ALL out at

<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html> well before they start to
end at 3 PM CT Sunday. If YOU would like to try to get one or more items
from this wonderful auctions, please check these out VERY soon! It may be
many years before you see yet another selection of "country of origin"
quads and double crowns of this caliber (and of course they are great fun
to see even if you are only "window shopping")!The very best of luck to
those of you who bid on any of these at
