Since we are on the topic of freedom, wants (desire), and values, I find this article somewhat interesting in that it stirred some thoughts, dare I say curiosity.
http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/alice/section1.html Did anybody watch "The Company" that was on TNT in early August? It opened with 'down the rabbit hole' metaphors, and also included some phrases in the mini-series. I guess it was based on a book. "'The book that the mini-series is based on (Robert Littell's The Company) is laced with Alice in Wonderland references,' explains DK creative director Matt Mulder. "So we played on that mysterious white rabbit disappearing into the hole. There are also puzzles for Alice to solve and a lot of blind alleys. That's where parallels with Cold War espionage come in." - http://www.boardsmag.com/articles/magazine/20070901/DigitalKitchen.html Down the Rabbit Hole... not only the Cold War, but where does our curiosity lead us now? What frustrated desires might society have? Is this dynamic quality or are frustrated desires negative/degenerative?
