This is how I try to paint with a poem...

    Autumn is full of colors,
    Reds, yellows, orange, and shades

Black and white calm the world for me
    I like this at times

    Then these colors,
    How to express their brightness

    Straight from the heart
    It is very clear

    Again, colors fantastically explode,
The awe, the beauty, but how to express

    Only these limited strokes
    Black lines on white

But I try to rip the red,
Pull the dash of green into the eye

    This effort that can't happen,
    Admiration in through and through

So, again, I try with this blue sky,
Red, orange, yellow leaves - here!

              -SA

...It is poetry coloring autumn, and then every
other moment black and white reminds the futile effort
that these are admirations by the limited strokes of
black lines on white.

sunset in a valley of trees,
SA

P.S. I picture it, but look, it's a bunch of
black lines that look nothing like autumn leaves. Yet
I'll come back, and yes, I'll get nowhere near,
intellectually, the colorful strokes these autumn
leaves wave in the wind, but I like it.
