It depends on the librarians too. I used to use
the interlibrary loan system, but since I've moved
into this new area a couple years ago the librarian
here isn't very helpful, helpful yes, but not very
helpful. I tried to get a book through interlibary
loan, and the librarian didn't want to do it at first.
The book wasn't in the local library system, so, the
librarian said he would look for it in other libraries
through the interlibrary loan system across the
country. When I would go back and ask about it, he
would either ask me to do it, and when I said I don't
know how can you show me, he would say he will do it,
then I would come back again and he couldn't find it,
then I went ahead and bought the book. Then one day I
happened to come across WorldCat.org and the book I
was looking for was in a local universities library,
which said to me, the book was out there and local
maybe, but the librarian didn't want to look for it.
Any other library I've ever went to, the librarian was
very helpful, and they could find anything.
