Chapter I: Examination of Conditions - second reading
Finished the second reading of this first chapter: Examination of
Conditions. Once external negation and internal negation were understood to
be the same as non-affirming negatives and affirming negatives, this chapter
became comprehensible. But I've become weary from the stress, so I'm going
to put this aside for the moment. And I think a nice break will be (besides
painting) the book, 'Objectivity' by Lorraine Daston and Peter Galison.
Let's see what a history of objectivity as told by visual images has to add
to the BIG PICTURE.
