Woods you say:

P.S. We don't need to keep talking about this. I just didn't want you to
think what we were talking had nothing to do with the moq.

I appreciate this. It is of real concern to the MoQ and MoQ thinking . I am
only worried about the fact that you'll get a one-sided view of 'China". I
don't even know what China represents. Look at 5 people around you and one
of them is Chinese. There are so many of them!!!
I really love these people. I haven't been in any other country where
kindness, hospitality, help and friendliness is offered at such a scale. It
is genuine but ......intellectually I haven't seen much. And truthfully, I
do get frustrated by this. Doesn't mean it is not here, where I life it is
hard to find

I understand where Pirsig gets this "socialism-is-higher-morality from but I
have yet to see and feel it here. That is: I understand it in theory and
within the context of an MoQ way of thinking and arguing, but not in
practise. Alas of course he said so. He did cover himself
We all know that humanity's "progress" historically has meant many, many
sacrifices. But what I see here in China is indeed a nice ïdeal" but'....
the cost at the human level............does it justify this? For me it
suggests that the intellectual level should absolutely stay in touch
(literally) with its base. The argument that it is better for an idea to
kill a society than a society to kill an idea theoretically, within the MoQ
makes sense but...in practice.
Its a problem and I think also within the MoQ.

Thanks Woods...my only motivation was not to bore you with my own
experiences. If you want this to continue though I'll be quite happy to
comply...there are many things to learn.
