Interesting... It said the end-product is safer than oil. I
wonder what the end-product is.
There's a lot of alternative fuels. I'm for them all. It goes
back to the same argument that I believe Thomas Jefferson
used for the U.S. to switch to maple syrup, instead of importing
sugar cane. It's domestic. It would support local. It is native and
thus, supports wild forests. This is what I like about
switchgrass as a fuel. It naturally goes in the Central U.S., and this
would at the same time sustain and bring back larger wild regions
in the Central U.S., which means habit for buffalo, black-footed ferret,
pronghorn, etc...
The algae looks like a good way to make fuel in already established
urban areas. Put the algae in barrels and grow.
I wish these discussions were more mainstream.
