Ham:
The basis of my post was to show that society is being duped into an
ideology of non-discrimination, largely due to Marxist liberal teaching in
universities and government manipulation of the laws to "equalize" the
masses in order to maintain the power of the state. I agree with Mel that a
society that takes individual freedom for granted is like the proverbial
frog placed in a jug of water that is slowly heated to the boiling point.
We don't realize that we're losing our freedom because the process is
gradual over the generations.
woods:
This is a big assertion. I do know that we are losing our freedoms.
People
are like zombies roving in their routines. I have the time to see what's
happening
in our society, but didn't realize it was this far until I was able to have the
time to find out. While I was working, while many work, we are distracted
away from the real struggle, unless of course, ones job provides the
awareness as to what's happening and ones job is hands-on in doing
something about this.
Now, how it is happening might be argued. I don't have enough information
to make the conclusion that you did above. That doesn't make
what you said wrong. I just don't know enough.
Ham:
Thus, what started as a movement to integrate the races, spread to a Supreme
Court decision to allow unrestricted immigration. This, in turn, led to a
policy of "political correctness" which made public judgments of cultural
and sexual differences immoral. Now we are faced with immigrants (many of
them illegal) who demand the right to subsidized birth-to-death healthcare,
signs and books printed in two languages, Islamic prayer and the teaching of
multicultural equality in schools,
woods:
What school has Islamic prayer in schools. Multicultural teachings that
I've been involved in enhances diversity and makes one aware about cultural
diversity so we understand where other people are coming from. I haven't been
in multicultural "equality" classes.
Ham:
....single-sex marriage, and a socialist
president who well may have a globalist agenda for America. The
individual's innate capacity to discriminate has been reduced to the lowest
common denominator, and national sovereignty is no longer cherished.
woods:
The national sovereignty "no longer cherished" I get, I would say due
to lack of education on civics. I never had that class, and I hear over half
of the U.S. doesn't have this class. So, whether in civics or history class
the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents were not discussed,
other than the usual history course of 'Oh, they made a constitution, and then
the colonies were faced in time by the War of 1812' It wasn't covered in
detail,
just mentioned as a historical event.
Ham:
As the pot comes to a boil, those of us who have witnessed this decline
suddenly
find that we've lost the values which made this nation unique in the
civilized world. Alas, it may be too late to change our course.
woods:
I am finding out more and more myself, that this country is losing its'
freedoms, and
a global agenda is on the table set in course that has to erode U.S. freedoms,
the intellectual
patterns of democracy and other Bill of Rights freedoms, so people just
won't know what their getting into. The Tri-lateral Commission is currently
working
on establishing regional economic and latent political agenda's with Asia one
region,
North America another, and Europe the other. This commission will be a central
place
bringing the differences that each region has politically and economically
closer in sync
with each other so a more global agenda can happen and directed outside
sovereign
freedoms.
