Platt you're probably committing an error that many Americans are prone to
making; that is, equating communism with socialism.  They are patently not
the same thing. Additionally, there is no such thing as a free market, at
least not for very long.  If there were no controls and no rules the
tendancy toward monopoly is demonstrable each and every time. That some
places tend toward more or less regulation depends on the specific needs for
the structure and goals of that nation.

Pirisg is playing like McLuhan on this one ... it's unfortunate that you're
too blinded by ideology to get that.
