Chris, have you considered that "The Quest for Knowledge"
might not be the only intellectual value, so that its value
might not be greater than the sum of those other intellectual values?

I think of it as the core value. "Understanding" - I think that value lies
at the base, and from there things can go in a lot of different directions,
however "Truth" lies close to it, although it can be defined slightly
different.
