Didn't it occur to you that something might be up when so many people here said "welcome back" and "it's good to hear from you again" and that sort of thing? Are you here to chat about Pirsig's work? Are you going to make a connection between his MOQ and alchemy? Forgive my skepticism but I've seen too many people land here with an agenda that has nothing to do with Pirsig's work, and I dare say it very often involves religion. Don't get me wrong, that's one of my favorite topics and both of Pirsig's books say quite a lot about mysticism, but his is a non-theistic, naturalistic form of spirituality. More than a couple people have left here after realizing that theism doesn't really fit the MOQ. Just so you know what that was all about. dmb P.S. For whatever it's worth, EVERYBODY here is spoken to in negative ways. It's uncool to hurl mere insults, of course, but I think you find that people passionately disagree with one another every day around here. Sometimes it gets ugly, as you can imagine, but I've heard that most places like this one are much, much worse.
