I think we need to give Joseph Campbell some slack here. He was a product of
his generation just like my father. They had some very
Male Chauvinist ideas back then from our perspective, but it was the
dominant mindset. He is simply a victim of his times. To rail against him
because of this is rather hard don't you think. I mean you might as well
pick someone from history and use our 21st century ethics as a standard to
judge them, I believe it is self defeating. Ultimately we are all trapped in
our cultural blinders. Imagine someone looking back at our time now and
judging us from a future perspective. Really I expected more of an
