Thanks Marsha,

There is nothing like the politics of science.  Science will save us
(or so they say).  The problems they discuss solving can simply
be solved by changing the direction of this country so that people
do not look to energy use for their happiness.  This recession is
the best thing that has happened to this planet from an environmental
point of view.  People are less crazy about spending money.  They
are spending more time at home, living more simply.  If this recession
were to last 20 years, we may see a change in attitude.  However, our
present government is trying to stimulate it back to its frenetic pace.
I see a definite contradiction in expressed philosophy and action.
