[Krimel]
He has almost not capacity for seeing the foolishness in what he
says. He actually takes pride in being stupid and repeating the same
tired discredited arguments over and over.

[Arlo]
Yeah, I know it. What's truly appalling is that he feels no shame
when called out on his blatant distortions and deceptive rhetoric. I
am still waiting to hear back from Platt where exactly I "claimed
tolerance and sensitivity", since he directly states I make such a
claim. He also states outright that I "vehemently defend political
correctness", and I gather I'll be waiting a long time for him to
produce any evidence of that assertion as well. Its obvious these
shameless rhetorical tricks are used on the Limbaugh program, and I
think everyone expects that, but here I find them just embarrassing to us
all.

But again, when all you offer is some Absurdo World where "them evil
leftists wage war and bring tyranny against the liberty-loving,
honest conservative", where "evil acerdemics plot to enslave mankind"
and "the leftist media is the enemy", where every woe and issue that
can be raised is at once and always the fault of those "commie
socialist leftists" and conservatives are always honest, genuine
citizens concerned with liberty and freedom (well, not counting gay
marriage or a woman's freedom to be topless on the same beach that
men are allowed to be) there is really little chance of ever rising
above that manure.

[Krimel]
About all I have learned from discussion with Platt is that some people
actually have no shame whatever. No ability to discern right from wrong,
good from evil; no pride in what they say, no sense of decency, no
understanding of politics or economics. I used to think that one should at
least try to offer up reasoned arguments in a civil tone but years of trying
and of listening to your far more patient and exhaustive attempts, have
shown me the futility of that approach.

I suppose I should take solace in the fact that this blathering and the
venom of the right has ramped up a couple of notches like the squealing of
pigs being slaughtered. Perhaps the hand writing is on the wall that these
morons are being cast back into the KKK, John Birch fringe from whence they
came. Perhaps O'Reilly is just reading the wall and is going in for a little
CYA. But he is going to have to kiss mine before I take him seriously.

[Arlo]
I'm telling ya, if you haven't heard O'Reilly finally call these guys
out for what they are (and the expected rabid attacks on him by the
right), you should check it out. He does (rightly) also call out the
leftists (my god, is he actually calling them BOTH out!!?! Heavens!).
Check it out.

[Krimel]
Call it a weak stomach but I don't see O'Reilly as much of an upgrade from
the rest of the blowhard crew. I suppose that internal squabbling is a
hopeful sign that they will fulfill Jesus' prophecy and lead each other into
a ditch. After all wasn't teabagging a phenomenon manufactured, promoted and
covered almost exclusively by FOX? I mean of course, political teabagging as
opposed to the mort perverse and entertaining kind, after which it is so
aptly modeled and named.
