Link-rot? That's funny!
Avatars are too frightened to be responsible for their own words. They must think they are really real. There are very few on this list that I trust as responsible for their action.

They are old dead links Marsha - link-rot it's called - they links are broken whether you use them in my page or directly in your browser. People put up links but they don't maintain them. (I guess you could see it as related to avatars, in the sense that people who treat the web this way treat it as unreal and temporary - without any real personal responsibility. People with real names and "skin in the game" tend to be more concerned about the mess they leave behind them. David Lavery's links are all re-instated - I checked - they were dead too for a while.)
