I guess my point is that " Experience is reality" is just a slogan & a slogan is only as good/valuable/meaningful as the use it's put to. I remember my first roller-coaster ride as fun & exciting, but at the time I felt fear & nausea. I guess I'm out of touch with my experience. I'm always in some environment or other, thus I'm never out of touch with reality. So, a) It is possible to be out of touch with experience. b) It is impossible to be out of touch with reality. c) :.
