Thanks Bo,

I thought that I was writing off-list. Embarrassed myself again!!! I will
try again, and send you the results. Privately. I'm sure it is hard to
believe, but recognition is not what I want. You're thoughts on how I might
improve my paintings, though, would be appreciated. My paintings are often
done so quickly that I worry they are incomplete. But I like incomplete. I
like the idea of the viewer filling in their own detail both visually and
psychologically. But maybe I'm just lazy, or ignorant of what would make a
better picture. My next painting will be a mother and child from the animal
kingdom. Maybe a mother bear with her cub. I love 'mother and child' as a
topic; the antics and expression of the animal interaction seems very honest
and direct.

Marsha

Hi Marsha

It's tricky. Direct sunlight is destructive regarding colors - that's true
If
enough light indoor you may turn off the flash on your camera, but I
prefer the fash because it makes the colors look most true. To avoid
the refection spot I use a slight angle, this shows, but is not important
for normal use. However, when your work is recognized there will be
professional photographers coming from the galleries with all the
proper equipment ;-).
