Hello All, Can someone explain the significance of the visit to the supermarket (LILA, pp173/4) when Lila completely goes off her rocker with the check-out lady having her hand on 'a black girl's collar'.
Is this a biological/social battle? Anyone any ideas on how to interpret this episode?
