[Craig]
Back to your history books.

[Arlo]
Actually, Craig, this is better advice for you. The artisocracies of Medieval
Europse were composed of often violent factions, that used all sorts of manners
to "sink" other families. They also fought strongly over many issues, in many
times even the King could not reconcile the hostilities. Your view that the
aristocracies were a loving, homogenous group is rather silly.

[Craig]
None of this social mobility that exists nowdays.

[Arlo]
The small social mobility we have stands in contrast the fact that the majority
of people live and die in the same socio-economic power strata as their
parents. We may get more shiny trinkets, but our real power in the world stays
the same.

[Platt]
Not only that. If you're a member of a victim group you get preferential
acceptance or employment regardless of merit.

[Arlo]
Which counters the historical legacy of these groups getting denied acceptance
or employment regardless of merit.

You reap what you sow.
