The 'alternative phrasing of Quality is 'the undifferentiated AESTHETIC continuum'...nothing 'original' (as appears to be implied) on Platt's part..it can be found in Northrop's The Meeting of East and West. Matt: And with the idea of "Dynamic Quality [better reality--i.e. more beautiful] is the pre-intellectual cutting edge of reality," I think we can begin to see much better how Platt stands on Pirsig's shoulders.
