Dan: No. Craig: > Does this make you think there is something going on besides your > experiences? Dan: Something going on besides my experiences? If I did fall asleep in the sun and wake up with a sunburn, wouldn't that be an experience? Craig. Wake up. We are a collection of static patterns of value, not a lump of flesh made to burn in the sun. I experience sunburn biologically, socially, and intellectually (if I'm awake). If I'm asleep I still experience sunburn biologically. Dan: > Do you wonder why you don't get a sunburn every night while you sleep in > your bed? Dan: Honesty, no. Not till now. You're acting like you've never heard this before. Read LILA again if you have to, but please. Craig: I think you are both making things more difficult than they are. > Dan: Make it simple for me then. But don't be stupid Craig. It doesn't become you. Tell me, is there a little tunnel in each eye that lets light into the brain? > [Krimel] > I do think we are making it more complicated than it is. There's nothing easy about it. Yes we need to keep it as simple as possible but what if it's not? Possible, I mean. Anyway, I'm just talking out my ass now so I'll shut up.
