I called it. Write it down. Just like when Obama was endorsed by Kennedy, I knew he'd probably be prez, when I saw Palin on Fox I figured it looks like fait accompli time.
The factors to consider: Nobody can fix the problems in the economy and that makes the incumbent the scapegoat. Palin looks good on camera, and especially so when she's got media experts massaging her words, tweaking her make-up, telling her the answers to her scripted questions. Give her a couple years of practice and she should have the whole shtick memorized. It worked for Reagan when he parlayed years as a GE flack into a glib presentation that sells, sells, sells. As a woman, she neutralizes Obama's "underdog minority" card. As a woman, she channels that nurturing but tough Thatcher effect which is gonna be needed as soon as economic reality really starts to hit home.
