Well, some people--with a predilection towards drugs--do
tend to treat Quality as intellectual angel dust.
But for my money, you'd have had it right if you'd said "if
'fundamental reality' is a 'mist,' ...." It's the missing quotes
around "fundamental reality"--the quotes of somebody
handing a term rather than a thing--that causes you to
again miss the thrust (as I suppose antithetical thinkers like
Pirsig and you must).
