Platt to Ron:

That "only fault" makes all the difference between the two systems, doesn't it?
The "dynamic function" is the "redeemable quality" what makes capitalism
superior.

Andre:
And a bit further down Pirsig argues that this dynamic function is so worn out
it has become a mindless tradition not going anywhere other than destruction of
our environment and self. (of course he doesn't say this literally Platt but
keep the Golf of Mexico in mind, the de-forestation all around the globe, the
environmental wastes and pollutions). At the end of the twentieth century
America hes become an intellectual, social and economic rust-belt where an
entire nation has lost faith in dynamic improvement (this argument from your
capitalist neo-cons... that capitalism is dynamically improving things is
beginning, more strongly than ever, to be seen for what it is...the
exploitation of the poor by the rich...the dynamic improvement of their own
bank accounts whilst basic (social) living conditions and basic biological
needs of the majority are being eroded).

Along your own reasoning Platt: too much DQ degenerates as does too much sq.
The trick is to find a latching moment and build from there. Capitalism doesn't
latch much at all. The more unstable things are the better. Low quality indeed.
Stop this blind faith in DQ as the panacea and justifyer of every single thing
you happen to agree with.
