Hi Platt, Yes, I agree. Sometime I propose what I call personal intent as a direct connection with the pre-intellectual quality. This of course takes personal interpretation.
I don't want to bring up this whole theism stuff again, but I have an interpretation of what we demean to the small mindedness of man and need for authority of whatever kind. What I gather from the atheist stance and certain posts herein is the elevation of man to the knowing of all things or at least that possibility. There is of course a shift from knowing personally to having to find out externally. Certainly intellectual creation is a noble effort. I suppose it depends in how far out one wants to push such intellectual knowing. So it would seem the arrogance of man, as the primary compartment of measurement, has increased over the years. Of course the priests and pope's were far from humble it would seem, in some cases anyway. We go from living in wonder to wondering what can we figure out. A balance somewhere is needed.
