Hi all, Is the MOQ a humanism? That's an interesting question which enticed me to make the mistake of skimming a long thread on the subject which will forever be an embarrassment to the moq.org archives. I wonder if it would be possible for such a thread to find its point?
I would say that it is an anti-humanism in that it refuses the notion of human nature as something upon which a philosophy of ethics can be built, and it is a version of Secular Humanism in that it seeks human well-being independently from the notion of God's will or the possibility of attaining an other-worldly afterlife.
