Ham,

Just to butt in briefly, but you and Socrates seem to me to go absolutely
too far in your construction, as I've mentioned before.

Don't you think contentment (desire of what we already posses) is possible?

I heard an amusing anecdote on a morning radio show I enjoy (they have
a streaming
link <http://streamingradioguide.com/radio-show.php?showid=27> if you want
to give these guys a listen - they're intelligent AND amusing without being
crass).

According to this research they quoted, Tall guys tend to be happier, Asians
tend to be happier, married guys tend to be happier, guys who live in Hawaii
tend to be happier, etc. and so anyway the researchers narrowed it all down
to this tall, married asian guy living in Honolulu and they called him up
and asked him if he was happy. He reported said yeah.

I believe we may have stumbled upon Ham's Marathon! It defies all reason to
claim that Man exists independently of Quality.
