Craig: 1) Wealth is a social species of the good, the way health is a biological species of the good.2) Truth is an intellectual species of the good and intellectual value is the highest form of static quality.3) Sometimes economic value comes into conflict with intellectual value. 4) The love of money can make a big fat liar out of you and otherwise corrupt your morals. Therefore 5) A good person keeps the value of money in perspective and probably would stop short of saying that he "loves" it. AND 6) That old saying about the love of money being the root of all evil is not crazy. AND 7) That particular form of evil is an epidemic in American politics and practically defines the values and ideology of the Republican Party.
