Anyone read Jonathan Haidt's book "The Happiness Hypothesis" ?

Verges on divine spiritual self-help at some points, but full of good
scientific case studies.
No Pirsig, but plenty of James and Maslow
Lots of Arete and Virtues ....
Ultimately the conclusion is "Balance" - rationality is not all about
subject and object distinctions ... quality is "between", in relations
One thing different to Pisrig is recognition of a "divine" axis
orthogonal to the hierarchical levels.
Maybe a better to way to express the quality aspect of MoQ -
shot-through with quality, rather than simply seeing it as everywhere
and nowhere throughout the levels.
Interesting read and witty with it.

Must also take a look at Maslow's "Religions, Values and Peak Experiences"
Seems to parallel James' better known work.

PS What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding ?
