Hi John, It seems you are using the term Quality in the same manner that Darwin used the term Nature. By this model, the levels are species, and the concept of Natural Selection becomes DQ. So I can see why you propose that levels in existence are selected for by Quality. As such, the Quality you speak of is based on the current trend known as Evolution. I don't have a problem with this, except that it is rather limiting Quality, to the laws of Evolution. Perhaps you have some ways in which MoQ differs from the standard evolutionary model used in biology.
Let me say, that you are not the only one who finds this evolutionary model a good description of Quality. There have been many others presented throughout the ages of course. We are all describing the same thing. Some descriptions are more compelling than others. Since we live in the age of science, the evolutionary model is perhaps right for its time. Until one digs deep into it, of course. Then it makes no sense. If Quality is indeed presented through evolution, then is it not balanced in the same way Nature is? I would not confuse balance for stasis. The Yin and Yang are far from static. In fact it is the continual imbalance which can be said to be existence; that is, a dynamic balancing act. In fact, one could say that existence is the ever present tendency towards balance. Just read the Tao Te Ching, Chapter 2. Remember the similarity between Quality and Tao?
