In the footsteps of Daniel Dennett I use the same marketing rethoric, he once used to sell his book "Consciousness explained!", in the title of this post. Like Dennett once suggested to have found "the" explanation for consciousness and the very reason why i once bought this book do I in the Title of this post suggest that i have found a solid definition for the concept "Quality".
Do I believe I have found a solid unrefutable definition for quality......? NO! Do I believe i have found a way to aproach the concept quality? Yes? The definition: Quality represents "that" where I can identify with. The trick, to me, in understanding this definition is in the two dimensional character of the word "Identification". You can Identify a "What" and you can Identify "With" "What" is represented by the information dimension. "With" is represented by the sensation dimension. In my perception of the word identification i see a mirror relationship between subject and object. Maybe there is a ethymological relationship between the word "identification" and the word "identical", who knows? This is why i suggested earlier to investigate a possible merging of MOQ and SOM but maybe better to leave that for a later moment. Greetings Eddo P.S.
