Hi David,

Your Niels Bohr seems wrong at first glance. He didn't state objects
do not exist before the experiment. His thesis was that nothing at all
could be said of them... there was no way of verifying if they existed
or not.

As for Kant, I'm not sure it's entirely proper to label him an
idealist. Like Bohr, he seemed to be saying our means of accessing the
phenomenal world are limited. But then again his work is so complex
even scholars don't agree upon what he was saying.

Finally, rather than 'our current metaphysics' it might be better to
say 'the prevailing metaphysics of western culture,' or words to that
effect.
