Time to go time.
Thanks to all those who acknowledged my existence (whatever that might
be !), whilst a member of the lists. My contributions were poor things
but my own.
The final straw was to be treated to a lecture by Struan on the poor
*quality* ? of recent postings. Clearly the rules for membership must
now be changed to require proof of a PhD in philosophy of the mind
before daring to express an opinion. He sounds almost as pompous as the
'Chairman' in ZAMM.
As to the mystic/rational split to quote Pirsig (the Subjects,Objects
etc. paper) "The intellectually meaningless nevertheless has value".
Anyway, spring is not far away and I have a garage full of motorcycles
in need of maintenance.
Assembly of Japanese motorcycle might require great peace of mind but I
find riding an Italian one gets me pretty well in touch with the here
and now.
Ciao
Pete
