ROGER LAUGHS UNCONTROLLABLY AT RICH'S QUESTION
(WHILE TYPING)

Rich writes:

Roger:
And you want it in one paragraph or less, right? Okay......

In studying Chinese-influenced metaphysics, four things stand out distinctly
that correlate with the MOQ. 1)Emphasis on pattern .2) Emphasis on balance
3) Emphasis on the indescribability of ultimate reality. 4)An emphasis on
behavior and morality over descriptions of reality.

But I too could be wrong......

PS -- I also have a great reference that compares ZAMM to Hinduism, Zen,
Taoism and Confusiousism(sp?). It is called "Guidebook To ZAMM" by Steele
and DiSanto. It has every review imaginable on the book and edited ZAMM
out-takes and Pirsig correspondence (to Redford even). It also includes a
lengthy review of every Eastern philosophy to ZAMM, but not to the MOQ. A
must read.

PPS -- My favorite factoid from the above book is that Pirsig knows the actor
Peter Coyote and wanted him to play the narrator in Redfords movie
