Hi Folks

For anyone who wishes to find out more information regarding much
of the history of psychedelics and the enormous variety of uses to
which they have been put you could do worse than to check out:

http://www.psychedelic-library.org/bookmenu.htm

and the rest of the site.

It also has the text of "LSD - My Problem Child" by Albert Hoffman
who was the first person to synthesize LSD - not an accident as
many have claimed - which is a facinating read and extremely
informative.
There are also some other very interesting texts on the use of Peyote
and other hallucinogenics in religious (and other) ceremonies and
their early use as a tool of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.

Many of the texts on the site pre-date the start of what has led to the
current drug culture - i.e. the hippies and their contemporaries - and
as such are unaffected by the hysteria that is a trademark of the
reaction to this culture.

Have a good read
