Sometimes a good question can really jog your thinking... Thanks Jennifer
for jogging mine!

As I thought about it, I realized that whenever I read a discussion on
"society" I think of human society.  But Ants and Bees have social patterns
and so do wolves and deer and sheep.  These social patterns of non-human
animals point out that you don't need intellect to form society.  Society's
evolve by obeying biological  patterns that work.

But how intellect arises is something of a mystery to me.  The only
experience we have of intellect is in human society, so it does seem to be
a unique transition.  I also know that the conflict between society and
intellect is the most interesting to me.  I believe that intellect is
dynamic quality to the social level.  What's dynamic quality to the
intellectual level?  Where do hypothesis come from?

Questions... questions...
