Thanks for the wonderful story. Though nothing like that has ever happened
to me I do appreciate that it sometimes happens to others.
Pirsig doesn't say much about death in "Lila". I would enjoy starting a
discussion about it. In terms of the MOQ, what do you think happens to us
when we die? Do we have a soul? Does the MOQ make provision for that? Do
we simply, as Daddy thought, return to the inorganic level for recycling?
What about our "pattern"? Does this die with us?
I invite everyone to respond. Don't hold back! I will not be offended by
any anyone's thoughts.

If You do not mind I will tell You a story I experienced in my childhood.
My parents and I lived in the countryside and beside our house was an apple
tree. One sunny afternoon I was sitting under the tree with my back leaning
against the stem.
I do not know if I fell asleep but suddenly I felt me beeing in or beeing
the tree. I felt the sun falling on my leaves and the fluids going up and
down from the leaves to the roots. It was the deepest insight and the most
