I like it when people criticize the MOQ.
It is best when they do so intelligently and with sophistication.
To do that, I see three prerequisites:
1 - A good understanding of the history of both Eastern and Western
philosophy
2 - An understanding of the ideas presented in ZMM and Lila
3 - Care and gumption
I am accusing you of falling short in all three areas, with the possible
exception of the second half of #3.
It has long been painfully obvious to myself and others that you have only
the faintest of notions of what Phaedrus attempted to accomplish, and what
Pirsig beautifully constructed in his journeys.
Equally and as sadly true is the fact that, in your postings, you are unable
to refrain from being a wanker.
Herein lies your chance to redeem yourself, and at the same time make me
look like a complete dork:
I challenge you to a contest:
- We each completely and clearly explain the Metaphysics of Quality
- We each give a point-by-point analysis of the other's work
- Both sets of essays and mutual criticism are posted on the website
- Judgements of value are made by a panel of judges of your choosing
- You suggest a non-financial wager
To save you some hot air, I should mention that I am heading back into the
woods, and will begin my share of explaining the MOQ, regardless of whether
or not you have the balls to do the same.
It would be much easier for you, as I expect you to do, to just throw sand
in the bull's eyes, or not enter the arena, or just sell popcorn and yell
insults when I have finished my work, taking little pot-shots out of context
and out of contempt, safe behind your keyboard.
I'll re-emerge in a couple of weeks and look forward to your response
outlining your progress, or complete lack thereof.
The choice, petite amie, is yours. Carpe diem.
