Boorchess,
the chess metaphor was used in Lila only to show that designing a perfect 
metaphysics was impossible, just as it is impossible to create a perfect 
chess game that will win unconditionally.  if he mentioned it outside of 
that, or if you derived a deeper metaphorical connection please let me know, 
because that's all i got from it.
