As for free guns, there wasn't a question on it on the quiz. I would be drastically 
against free guns (and would not like to live in a country where you can buy a gun 
just like that).

About military service, on second thought, I agree with Jonathan and Marco. Although I 
am generally against military conscription, too. I think a reasonable way is allowing 
an individual to reject to serve in the army and choose civil service, but with some 
disadvantages, eg, longer service and obvious consequences such as the
prohibition to work for companies that build weapons. This is *more or less* what was 
the case in Italy a few years ago, although I think that laws have changed somehow 
recently (in favor of civil service, hence volunteer-based army).

And yes, Marco, "socialist" has definitely a different meaning to americans than it 
has to europeans, possibly as a consequence of cold war.
