Maccha (I guess it's usually spelled "Matcha") is the traditional Japanese Green Tea used int he tea ceremony, where only the top 3 leaves from the green tea plant are taken and all stems removed, are ground into a fine bright green powder, which is mixed with hot water and then stirred with a bamboo whisk until a thick, frothy tea is made.
