[Platt] Since according to you I can choose who and what to be intolerant of, I am intolerant of left wing peaceniks who call our troops "mercenaries" and who would like to cut off funds to support their efforts to bring intellectually guided freedom and civil rights to the people of Iraq.
[Arlo] Platt, I'll be the first one to admit their is a PROFOUND breakdown in our political dialogue. Both the "left" and the "right" have become about as distorted a caricature as possible. Anyone who calls our troops "mercenaries" is as despicable as someone who claims those who disagree with Bush are "terrorists". Trouble is, I see no resolution. The rhetoric, propaganda, slurs and vile accusations increase daily from both sides. All I see are political ideologues furthering the distortion. As in your point above, who on earth is against bringing freedom to people. That's inane.
