[SA] You got the term "Escherian landscape" from Escher, right? [Arlo] If you're asking if Escher ever used the term "Escherian landscape", my answer would be "not that I am aware". I'm sure if I got the term from anyone, it was from Hofstadter, although without a digitized GEB, I can't say for sure, which is why I attributed the term to my splendiferous creative self.
[SA] It's alllllllllllrrrrrrright!!! (imagine this said with a pirate tone) [Gaaaaar-lo] For some wholesome fun, try the "Pirate Speak Translator" at http://www.syddware.com/cgi-bin/pirate.pl It translates the opening paragraph of ZMM into this. "I can be seein' by me watch, without takin' me hand from th' port grip o' th' cycle, that 'tis eight-thirty in th' mornin'. Th' wind, e'en at sixty miles an hour, be warm an' humid. When 'tis this hot an' muggy at eight-thirty, I be wonderin' what 'tis goin' t' be like in th' afternoon." moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
