He describes the "value" platypus, the "scientific reality" platypus, the "causation" platypus and the "substance" platypus. And his Metaphysics of Quality is his answer to the question "which [hierarchy of metaphysical classification] is best." Imagine the outcome of a similarly intense inquiry into the question "what is love?" > So far, for me, the only thing that makes any sense at all is to > cultivate compassion.
